$150 Household Grocery Allowance

Receive assistance with accessing nutritious food through Carolina Complete Health’s Household Grocery Allowance Value-added Services. 

Members identified with food insecurity through Carolina Complete Health’s Care Needs Screening will receive a $150 annual household benefit per plan year, which can be used at any grocery or convenience store. 

If eligible the Household Grocery Allowance will be uploaded to the member’s benefits prepaid Mastercard® reward card.

*This card may not be used to buy alcohol, tobacco, or firearms products. 


Eligibility

Carolina Complete Health members must be 18 years or older and have completed the Carolina Complete Health’s Care Needs Screening and be identified with food insecurity. The Value-added Service is one per household per plan year and will be distributed on the member’s benefits prepaid Mastercard® reward card, $50 over a three month period.

Do you have a current Care Needs Screening (CNS) on file with Carolina Complete Health?

You are unable to submit a Household Grocery Allowance request because you do not have a current Care Needs Screening (CNS) on file. 

If you need assistance in filling out a Care Needs Screening form, please contact your Care Manager or call Member Services at 1-833-552-3876 (TTY 711).

The allowance will be available within 2-3 weeks after you are identified as eligible through Carolina Complete Health’s Care Needs Screening.
