Breast Pump

Carolina Complete Health is here to support you in every step of your parenthood journey. Breast pumps are included as a standard insurance benefit to eligible members. Eligible members can select a breast pump and replacement parts from Aeroflow’s catalog. Follow the steps below to submit your breast pump request. 

In addition to breast pumps members can access Aeroflow’s virtual Lactation Coaching Group. The group is for members who are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed. 

Parents that are expecting or have a newborn may also be eligible for Carolina Complete Health’s New Parent's Package Value-added Service, which includes a choice of a a car seat, a portable crib or stroller. 


Eligibility

Carolina Complete Health members who are expecting a new baby within the next six weeks, have had a baby within the past 30 days or had a baby in the NICU in the past 90 days can receive a free breast pump through Aeroflow. Breast pumps are subject to the Aeroflow approval process. Breast pump selection is subject to change. 

How to Request a Breast Pump

  1. Check your eligibility on the Aeroflow website.
  2. For insurance type, please select ‘Carolina Complete Health’.
  3. Please provide your insurance information as it appears on your Carolina Complete Health Member ID card.

Members can choose from approximately 10 health plan-covered breast pumps during the shopping process. They also have the option to upgrade for an additional fee, which is optional andpaid by the member.

After the member submits a breast pump request, Aeroflow contacts the provider directly to obtain the prescription on the member’s behalf.

There is no set timeframe. Aeroflow is responsible for following up with the provider until the prescription is received.

No, there is no strict time frame. However, it is recommended to order at least 30 days before the estimated delivery date. Breast pumps can be ordered as early as pregnancy discovery and up toone year postpartum.

Breast pumps are shipped six weeks before the member’s estimated due date (EDD). If ordered within six weeks of delivery or postpartum, shipping will be sent promptly.

Yes, members are eligible to request a pump up to one year postpartum. If ordered postpartum,the pump will be shipped promptly.

All breast pumps come with a manufacturer warranty. Aeroflow does not handle faulty items—members must contact the manufacturer directly.
