A Special Event for our Members and their Families

Please join us for this FREE special "Night at the Museum" event for our members and their families on Friday, May 29, 2026 at the Museum of Life + Science in Durham, North Carolina.

You’ll enjoy exhibits and light refreshments. Plus, the Carolina Complete Health team will be available to answer any questions you have about your health plan. Museum admission and parking is FREE!

Exhibits and Activities

  • Butterfly House – an immersive experience with tropical butterflies in a rainforest environment
  • Aerospace – explore real Apollo-era space artifacts
  • Flip It, Fold It, Figure It Out – play with math as you explore pattern, shapes, and size
  • Gateway Park – an outdoor adventure with rope walks, climbing webs, and balance logs
  • Launch Lab – explore flight, gravity, and airflow
  • The Farmyard – get up close with traditional farm animals
  • Dinosaur Trail - enjoy an up-close look at over a dozen life-sized dinosaurs and dig for fossils at the Fossil Dig site
  • The Train – Take a ride on the Ellerbe Creek Railway for an old-time train through the musuem grounds

The Museum of Life + Science will be open exclusively for Carolina Complete Health members and their families.  Please come enjoy and explore the museum after hours!

Museum admission and parking is FREE for all current Carolina Complete Health members.  Each CCH member is able to bring up to 2 additional guests with them for FREE as well.

Members and their guests will enjoy exhibits and light refreshments.  Plus, the Carolina Complete Health team will be available to answer any questions you have about your health plan. Museum admission and parking is free!

Your CCH Member ID Card is your ticket to the event.  Upon arrival, please show your ID card at the registration table for access to the museum.

The main entrance is accessible.

The museum offers fifteen accessible parking spaces, accessible restrooms, and a spot on our train that accommodates one wheelchair at a time.

Wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the event. Wheelchairs are available at the Admissions Desk in the main lobby. Visitors must leave a form of ID as a deposit.

All entry and exit doorways to and from the main building, as well as the Butterfly House and Insectarium, are automated.

Yes, strollers are permitted at the Museum of Life + Science.  Additionally, there is elevator access to all levels of the museum.

The Museum of Life + Science features a parking lot near the entrance.  Across the street from the Museum, there is an overflow parking lot including a covered three-story parking deck.

*Parking is free for these parking locations only. We are not responsible for any parking tickets or fees if you do not park in the designated area.
